Assistant Preschool Teacher/Staff
Manhattan Catholic School is looking for individuals who love working with children and enjoy building relationships with them.
The assistant teacher will work alongside the lead teacher in the classroom.
The assistant teacher will help supervise/monitor children in a variety of settings (classrooms, playground, potential field trips).
They will work together to provide a safe, respectful, fun, and positive learning environment, and create a positive, supportive team atmosphere.

Responsibilities include:
* Maintain professional relationships with MCS teachers, staff, and families.
* Create and maintain a positive learning environment in accordance with early childhood standards and regulations.
* Assist with after-school program with lessons/homework as needed.
* Follow state ratios and guidelines at all times.
* Provide support to the Lead Teacher by helping with implementing classroom rules and procedures, lesson plans, and activities.
* Build trusting relationships with each child and family.
* Supervise children to ensure their safety and health at all times by providing a consistent, positive, and caring environment for the children in your care.
* Maintain a safe and clean learning environment on a daily basis.
* Engage in positive conversation with children throughout the day.
* Requirements:
* Must be 18 years old.
* Pediatric CPR and First-Aid Certified, or willing to obtain
* Must meet KS Department of Health & Environment Requirements.
* Preferred Qualifications:
* Child Development Associate certificate plus teaching experience in a licensed child center or preschool, or
* Degree in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, Family Studies or related field, or
* 1+ years of working experience in a KDHE licensed center
* Job Type: Full-time and Part-time positions available
* Pay: Based on education and experience starting at $12.
