Description:
The Licensed Mental Health Professional (LMHP) will provide clinical therapy services to patients and their families in an outpatient setting, diagnosing and treating mental illness or substance abuse acting within scop of all applicable state laws and their professional license.
This position is responsible for treating a variety of patients who have serious and persistent psychiatric/substance abuse, medical, and/or bio-psychosocial concerns.
He/she identifies patients with bio-psychosocial problems and/or high-risk situations needing intervention and resolution.
The LMHP, in conjunction with the patient(s), interdisciplinary staff, families, and community agencies, is responsible for developing a treatment plan, communicating, and implementing the plan with all involved parties, and maintaining accurate and timely clinical documentation.
This position calls for sound, quick decisions in patient-related matters.
In accordance with HIPAA regulations, this position requires full access to Protected Health Information (PHI).
Such disclosure is necessary to perform the requirements of the job.
Confidentiality of PHI must be maintained.
Requirements:
Licensed Psychologist, Licensed Clinical Marriage and Family Therapist, Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, licensed Specialist Clinical Social Worker, or Licensed Clinical Psychotherapist.
Successful completion of the licensing examination to be a Licensed Mental Health Professional as regulated by the State of Kansas Behavioral Sciences Regulatory Board.
Maintains License in good standing through State of Kansas Behavioral Sciences Regulatory Board.
