My Kidney Center, LLC has an immediate opening for an CNA/CMA to work under the direction of the health care provider to deliver patient care that promotes the safety and well being of all patients.
This position delivers quality patient care through the nursing process of assessment, diagnosing, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
*Primary Responsibilities and Behaviors:*
* *Demonstrate respect for patients and My Kidney Center, LLC staff by presenting a friendly, courteous manner at all times and maintaining patient confidentiality.

* Provide attention to patients in a manner that builds confidence, trust and loyalty.
* Perform general patient care by following established standards and procedures.
* Greet and prepare patients for the health care provider.
* Obtain and record vital signs including but not limited to, blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respiration, height, weight, drug allergies, and current medications and presenting problem.
* Communicate with patient regarding test results and plan of care by phone or mail as directed by physician.
* Keep patient exam room stocked, clean and orderly according to protocol.
* Document patient plan(s) of care, tests and examination results in the medical record as directed by the provider.
* Escalate non-routine issues, questions and/or concerns to the practice manager or healthcare provider(s).
* Schedule appointments and triage appointment requests for urgency according to approved protocols and consistent with My Kidney Center, LLC Guidelines.
Consult a licensed clinician for clinical decision making whenever necessary.
* Use call processing and other applicable functionality in the EHR to take messages and communicate with clinicians.
* Ability to travel with providers to outreach clinic on specified days.
* Assist Receptionist by greeting patients and conducting check-in process: Load or update insurance information as needed; Scan insurance card(s); Post payments received in practice management system and provide system generated receipts.
* Verify eligibility and flag appointment accordingly.
* Collect or verify demographic information, including key demographic fields.
* Monitor daily reminder call logs.
Conduct outreach to patients requiring appointments (reschedule patients who cancel and call patients whose appointments were not successfully confirmed).
Contact patients who "no show" for follow-up appointments for chronic conditions or preventative care.
* Make outreach calls to patients to schedule new appointments or required follow up visits.
* Schedules follow up appointments with other specialists, lab radiology, etc.
on behalf of patients.
* Scan and index documents into the EHR; ensure that necessary documents, lab results, etc.
are available in advance of patient visits.
* Assist coworkers as needed to assure smooth office operation and delivery of excellent service through teamwork.
* Perform other duties as assigned.
*Qualifications:*
* High school diploma or GED.
* Current/valid Kansas Nurse/Medication Assistant Certification required.
* 2 years medical experience preferred.
* Proficient in MS Office, specifically Excel and Word; experience with an electronic health record is preferred.
* Excellent oral/written communication skills.
* Proven customer relations skills.
